Hospitality group  ·  Parent-brand strategy

How parent-brand strategy helped Fox grow from 19 locations to 39.

Fox Restaurant Concepts

The Problem

A portfolio without a parent.

Fox had built a portfolio of distinct restaurant concepts that customers loved one at a time. But there was no parent-brand identity for those concepts to launch from. Each new opening started cold, carrying its own marketing burden, with no equity from the broader Fox story to borrow against.

The Insight

Make the parent strong enough that every concept launches warm.

A multi-concept hospitality group only scales when concepts can borrow trust from the parent. The work wasn't to build more concept marketing. It was to make the parent brand strong enough that every new concept launched with equity already in the account.

What we did

Corporate rebrand from the parent level down.

Built the FRC identity system, brand standards, and tone of voice. Directed photography across food, environment, and lifestyle. Designed and shipped the FRC website to anchor the parent story. Wrote the copy. Designed the collateral. The work positioned Fox Restaurant Concepts as the parent that individual concepts could borrow trust from. Not the other way around.

The Result

39
Locations at close of engagement, up from 19 when the work began.
15
Distinct restaurant concepts, up from 10 when the brand work began.

Prior to the work, individual Fox restaurants had more recognition than the overarching brand. After: the parent Fox brand became one of the recognized names in American hospitality.

New openings could lean on parent-brand equity from day one. The concept-launch playbook changed permanently once there was a parent worth launching from.

Recognition

Fox Restaurant Concepts has since become widely cited among the leading restaurant groups in the United States, recognition the parent brand couldn't claim before the work.
